The Founder- Harold Greene

Harold Greene is a career musician with over 40 years of playing music professionally.  He holds a Masters of Music in Guitar performance from Bowling Green State University, Bachelors degrees in Jazz Performance and Music Education from North Carolina Central University, and a certificate from Berklee College of Music.

His teaching career includes collegiate music instruction in North Carolina, Illinois, and Ohio (at BGSU, U-Findlay, ECU, NCCU, ICC, CCCC, and NC State); teaching public middle school chorus, elementary school, private school worship band, beginning band, children and adult choirs; and teaching/directing numerous workshops, 

ensembles, and classes to students of all ages. He has served as music director in numerous churches and currently is on the faculty at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Coastal Carolina Community College. In addition, Harold serves as director of GreeneHouse Ministries NC division (church music consulting) and serves as a music director at Emerge Ministries.

As a performer he has opened for Marvin Sapp, Amy Grant, Israel Houghton, Kansas, the Neville Brothers, Bill Clinton, Halle Berry, Jeff Foxworthy, Jimmy Heath, Branford Marsalis, James Taylor, Mike Stern, Roy Hargrove, the Embers, etc.; and performed with the likes of Danny Gottlieb, Grady Tate, Ingrid Jenson, Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis, Carol Channing, Mike Cross, Carl Allen, Maceo Parker, and many others. Also, he has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, North Carolina Theater, the North Carolina Jazz Repertoire Orchestra, and North Carolina Opera Company, the Peoria Pops Orchestra (where he served as conductor), Grady’s Hat, The Bache Verde Classical Guitar Quartet, the Moore Square Dixielanders, the Brightleaf Music Workshop pit orchestra, the Ira Wiggins Quintet, and many other professional performing acts.

In the church he has directed music in many denominations both traditional and contemporary settings, ministering in services with thousands in attendance for two decades. In those settings he has directed contemporary worship bands and vocal teams, choirs, horns and full orchestra, and has produced and arranged hundreds of tracks and arrangements for studio and live production.

As an author Harold has published five guitar method books, a music theory instruction book, and bass method book. He has also appeared on and produced recordings by a number of artists including Wayburn Dean, Carlo Rouse, Tom Marko, Brett Strasma, Damon Brown, Julie K, Adrian Duke, Luke Schofield, Anne AshLee, The Peoria Pops Orchestra, a solo release called LOVE and the 2020 release of  EP 'A Greene Holiday'.
